A comprehensive list of the very best ex-military jobs and recruiters out there, ready to help you find your next career opportunity.
Job searching tips.
1. One, some or all?
We recommend that you use as many different job sites as possible, the main reason for this is that businesses and recruiters may only advertise jobs on certain sites. There’s not an exact science to it, perhaps they have a limited budget for recruitment or they feel that they’ve had good results through a certain site so don’t see the point in using others, whatever the reason we advise you cover as many bases as possible.
2. Consistency is key.
Most job sites will ask you to create a profile and upload a CV so when using multiple job sites it’s important to keep them all consistent with each other and always updated. It might seem obvious but as a service leaver you will have a lot of moving parts during resettlement, you’ll be gaining new qualifications, perhaps you’ll be moving house, so a good way to keep on top of things is to make 30 minutes available each week to check everything is up to date.
3. Stay Alert.
Once you know what type of job you’re looking for, take the time to set up alerts with each job site for jobs that meet your criteria. It might seem overwhelming at first as you scroll through your emails but if you set aside a small amount of time at the end of each day to prioritise your results and understand what jobs you want to apply for, you’ll have it under control and will be attending interviews in no time at all!
